Luriana “Lou” Randazzo, 97, of West Wyoming, passed away on July 2, at his home.

Born in West Wyoming, on October 4, 1927, he was the son of the late Vincenzo J. and Nunziata (Arnone) Randazzo.

Lou attended West Wyoming Schools and worked in the mines for several years before joining the US Navy. After serving his country, he worked for Ashley Tool & Dye, Nelson Furniture and Dzurek Lumber.  He enjoyed working and retired from Offset Paperback.

He was a member of St. Monica’s Parish, West Wyoming, but his heart belonged to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Swoyersville. He greatly enjoyed turning his yard into a floral garden. His pride and joy was his fig tree, which his father brought from Italy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, of almost 72 years, Mary C. (Chajko) Randazzo, who passed on April 22, 2024, son, Michael Randazzo, brother, Joseph Randazzo and sister, Mary Monahan, daughter in law, Kim Randazzo and son in law Jeff Woodworth.

Surviving is his loving daughter, Lisa Woodworth, with whom he resided; loving sons, Vincent Randazzo (Mary K), Virgina, and Louis Randazzo, West Wyoming ;grandchildren, Captain John L. Randazzo (Laura) Naples, Italy, Luciana Pittman (Mike), Virginia, Vanessa Considine (Brett), Kristin Randazzo and Joshua and Saul Woodworth, West Wyoming; great grandchildren, Joey and Mia Randazzo, Naples, Italy, Cannon and Finn Pittman, Virginia, and Emma LaBar, West Wyoming.

The Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy to be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Monday in Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 271 Tripp Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Father Andrii Dumnych, officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30AM till time of the service. Please go directly to the church if attending.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler & Cremation Services.
