Lula J. Henson

Lula Henson, 88 of Berwick PA. formerly of Wilkes-Barre PA. recently passed away at the Berwick Retirement Village , Berwick PA.

Born in Green Cove Springs, FL. on October 16th,1927, she was a daughter of the late William and Ealia (Williams) Johnson. She graduated from GAR High School.

Mrs. Henson had several work opportunities through her career retiring from American Cigar Mountain Top PA.

Mrs. Henson was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, were she had taught Sunday School and had been a member of the Senior Choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by;  her husband, Harold P. Henson, who passed away in October of 1993. She was also preceded in death by; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary, Wilkes-Barre, PA., Marc , Phoenix AZ., and Darrell, Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Henson was also blessed to have many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will miss her greatly.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

A Viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
