Lou Ann (Lovenduski) Marks, 67, of Pittston Township, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Born in Duryea on May 12, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Lucarelli) Lovenduski. A 1973 graduate of Pittston Area High School, Lou Ann worked for Erwine Home Health and Hospice until her retirement in 2020. She enjoyed camping and crafting and took great pride in her garden. However, she especially loved shopping with her sister, Linda. Her pride and joy were her family, particularly her grandchildren. Grammy Lou would spend countless hours of quality time with them playing games, baking, doing arts and crafts, and watching television and movies. In this time with her grandchildren, saying “no” was never an option, and everyone always left with a full belly. She prided herself on going above and beyond to make memories with them that will last a lifetime. Lou Ann will be remembered most for the love and care that she shared with others. She was a caregiver by nature, going out of her way to brighten anyone’s day and put a smile on their face with a trinket, positive affirmation, or full stomach. Her selfless ways and caring disposition have touched countless lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Lovenduski. Surviving is her loving husband of 48 years, Gene L. Marks Jr., Pittston Township, her loving daughter, Melissa Yuschovitz and her husband, Jason, Pittston Township and loving son, Gene “Geno” Marks III and his wife, Erin, Avoca, four grandchildren, Hannah and Ben Yuschovitz and Layla and Geno Marks IV, a sister, Linda Tomlinson, Old Forge, a sister-
in-law, Elaine Savo, Springville, several nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM in Holy Mother of Sorrows PNCC, 212 Wyoming Ave, Dupont with the Very Reverend Zbigniew Dawid officiating. Please go directly to the church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral and Cremation Services, 728 Main Street, Avoca.
