Lillian G. (Dotter) Hinkley

Lillian G. (Dotter) Hinkley, 94, of Drums, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at St. Luke’s Villa, Wilkes-Barre. Lillian was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 31, 1923 to the late James F. and Emma C. (Wilbert) Dotter. She worked at Nardone’s Bakery, Carey Ave., and Boscov’s. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the Women’s Club. Lillian loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, of whom she was very proud of. Lillian is survived by her loving son, James Hinkley and his wife Terry, two granddaughters, Sarah Pawlowski and Kerri Fey, both of Mountaintop, PA, a grandson, Dr. Matthew Hinkley, Gainesville, FL and three great grandchildren, Liam, Lucy, and Evan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James H. Hinkley, three brothers, James, Edward, and Fred, and two sisters, Samantha and Mildred “Roe”. Lillian’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at St. Luke’s Villa for their exceptional care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, January 19 from 5-7pm. at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Luke’s Employee Fund at 80 E. Northampton St. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
