Karlys M (Zimmerman) Deiter

Karlys M. (Zimmerman) Deiter, 90, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on June 16, 1926 in Oneonta, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Mae (Demille) Zimmerman. Her loving husband, Oliver Deiter, preceded her in death.

Karlys graduated from Meyers High School and was a member of the Apostolic Church in Pittston. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by; her son, George Deiter; daughter, Elizabeth Luongo; sister, Dorothy; brother, George.

Left to cherish her memory are; her son, John Deiter of Wilkes-Barre; sister, June Sabalske of Wyoming; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Service are private and entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre.
