Juan E. Joa, 72, of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2022, at his home.

Born on October 20, 1949, in Santiago, Dominican Republic, he was a son of Esperanza (Alcantara) and the late Juan Joa, Dominican Republic.

Juan was preceded in death by his father.

Juan was a member of the Catholic faith and worked as an economist, he loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Ana Elsa (Perez) Joa; sons, Juan E. Joa, Carlos A. Joa; daughter, Michelle M. Joa; grandchildren, Byron, Justin, and Jadeen; his mother Esperanza Joa; several brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews.

A 4:00 PM prayer service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main Street Wilkes Barre with Father Fidel of St. Nick’s Church Wilkes Barre, officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on that day.
