Joy M ((Jaquith)) Schell

Joy M. (Jaquith) Schell, 73, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.
Born in Columbus, PA on September 26, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Nellie (Frishie) Jaquith.
Joy worked in hospitality for over 21 years at Riverstreet Manor Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre. She enjoyed working in her garden, spending time with family and friends and cooking Sunday dinners for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schell and infant daughter, Gloria.
Left to cherish her memory are sons Robert Schell, Jr. and Bill Schell and wife, Betsy and 2 grandchildren.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30 A.M. from St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St, WB. For those attending mass, please go directly to the church. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 6:30-8:30 P.M. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St, WB.
Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital of donors choice.
