Joseph Harty

Joseph Harty, 50, of Scranton, passed away on June 17, 2020 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit, Dunmore.

Born in Goshen, N.Y. on May 2, 1970, he was the son of the late Oliver John Harty and Mae A. Krawcyk, Archbald.

Joe worked for many years at Butter’s Waste, which later became Waste Management. He enjoyed working on cars and cutting grass.  Joe also enjoyed helping people and spending time with family, especially his niece, Miracle Rose.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Charlotte Harty, a daughter, Crystal Mattern, a step daughter, Kimberly Nossavage, 4 grandchildren and one on the way, 2 brothers, Edward and John Harty, a sister, Rose Marie Harty, a step sister, Hope Browder, and several nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
