John E Harrison

John E. Harrison, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, June 3, at home. Born in Newport Township on August 30, 1931, He was a son of the late William H. Harrison Sr. and Ella V. (Emmerman) Harrison.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Harrison, brothers, William H. Harrison Jr. and Archie Harrison, and sisters, Florence Kolis, Ella Kaposich, Plymouth, Mary Ellen Kulp, New Jersey, Edith Hartman, Pittston, and Sarah McDaniels, Shickshinny.

He was a veteran of The United States Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was a carpenter and an electrician.

John is survived by daughters; Joanne Kinlaw, Plymouth, Tara Oliver, Mountain Top, son; John Harrison, Lake Lehman, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, Scarlet Rose Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.  Interment will follow on Wednesday, June 9th, 11:00 AM, at the Emmanuel Cemetery UCC, Mountain Top, Pa.
