Jesus Jr. Rivera

Jesus Jr. Rivera, 48, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 29, 1975, he was a son of the late Alfredo Rivera, Sr. and Carmen Corchado.

Jesus was extremely articulate and loved discussing politics and philosophy, often conveying his own personal message on subjects. He had a talent for writing and rhyming music and videos and making content for his family to enjoy. Jesus also enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-aunt, Dominga Abarca.

Jesus is survived by his loving wife Theresa Damblu Rivera; children, Dayvon Correa and wife, Shannon, Destiny Damblu and significant other, Michael Velotta, Jaleel Rivera and Jaeden Rivera; grandchildren, Peyton and Cree Correa; niece, Stephanie Morgan and partner, Lex; cousin, James Ortiz; brothers, Alfredo Rivera, Jr. and Jeffrey Snelling and sister, Gloria Cynthia Rivera and husband, Pete Spence.

The funeral service will be held Thursday the 15th at 12:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
