Jeffrey P. Oleniak

Jeffrey Peter Oleniak, 60, of Plains, passed away on May 19, 2025.

Born on July 25, 1964, he was the son of the late Joseph Oleniak and Marie Gresham.

Jeffrey had a passion for cooking and was known for his incredible meals and his secret recipes that he wouldn’t share with anyone. If Jeffrey wasn’t in the kitchen, you could find him sitting on his porch with his partner in crime, his dog Midnight, saying hi to all the neighbors. Jeffrey also loved to draw, listen to music, and most of all, being a dad was his number one priority and joy in life, and did everything in his power for his daughter, Samantha.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is preceded in death by his brothers, JJ Oleniak, Allen Oleniak, and Billy Evans; and sister Donna Oleniak.

Surviving to cherish Jeffrey’s memory is his favorite person, his beloved daughter Samantha Oleniak and boyfriend Will; wife, Celia Oleniak; sister, Cynthia Ann Oleniak; dear friend, Marge Evans Bowman and husband John; nephew, Kevin; nieces, Nicole and Megan, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
