Jean (Larnerd) Phillips

Jean (Larnerd) Phillips, 91, of Pittston, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at The Gardens of East Mountain, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Dupont on January 24, 1927, she was the last surviving child of the late Charles and Anna (Moore) Larnerd.

Jean was a member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca. In her later years, she enjoyed gardening and was very proud of volunteering at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley gift shop for 10 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Phillips; son-in-law, Thomas Hennigan and several brothers & sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Beverly Robinson and husband, Dean and Linda Hennigan and grandson, Thomas Hennigan.

Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, April 7th, from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M and the memorial service will then begin at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, 314 Main St. Avoca, PA 18641. Officiating will be Reverend Dale E. Pepper.
