HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Jean P. Hager, 71, formerly of Tunkhannock, passed away Wednesday morning in the Hampton House, Hanover Township.
Born in Kingston on August 10, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Grace (Taylor) Troutman.
Prior to retiring, Jean was employed by Weis Markets. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7069, Clark Summit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John C. Hager, who passed away April 23, 2012; a son, Richard A. DeRemer; a brother, Terry Troutman and twin sister Joyce Cohen.
Surviving are her daughters, Eileen Hager of Hanover Township and Suzanne Floyd of Ashley; stepson, Joseph Hager of Montrose; stepdaughter, Kathleen Hager of New Jersey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Donald Troutman and his wife, Stasha of Sedona, AZ; sister Gale Regelski and husband Ronald of Hunlock Creek.
Services will be held Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre with Celebrant Rynell Guy officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 281 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704.
