Miss Jean Louise Davies, 76, of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Monday August 1, 2022, at Riverview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes Barre, after a lengthy illness. Born in Wilkes Barre on September 30, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William and Ann (Edwards) Davies. She attended GAR Memorial High School. Jean loved crocheting, growing plants, watching football, and playing Rummy with her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William D., Kenneth, and David Davies; sisters, Janice Dombek and Sandra L. McCormack. Three family members, along with Jean, who have passed away within the last year; as well as brothers-in-laws, Arthur B. Bush, James H. Balmer and George Dombek. Jean is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda M. and Michael P. St. Pierre, with whom she resided. She is also survived by sisters, Joyce Bush, Cherry Hill, NJ, Phyllis J. Balmer, Dallas, Ann (Anthony) Esser, Anthem, AZ; brothers, Paul E. (Patricia), Shavertown, Wayne (Jean) Irmo SC, and Richard A.,(Sumnar) Hanover Twp.; sisters-in-laws, Mary Ann R. Davies and Delia J. Davies, and a brother-in-law, Frank E. McCormack. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main St. Wilkes Barre. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM, until the time of service. Interment will follow in Oaklawn cemetery. Online condolences may be made at Kniffenfuneralhome.com
