James Sokolas, 55 of Wilkes Barre, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Geisinger South, Wilkes Barre. Born on January 7, 1967, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Yelland) Sokolas. James was a graduate of G.A.R. High school, he went on to work for Scant Medical and American Silk Mill. He loved going to the casino, spending time with his family, and hanging out with his brother, Chick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert and John Sokolas. Left to cherish his memory is his son,Tyler Sokolas; brothers, Charles Sokolas, Thomas Sokolas, and Russell Sokolas; niece, Helena Sokolas(Terri Beamer); nephew, Charles Sokolas Jr.; as well as several other nieces and nephews; and a god daughter, Katie Watkins. There will be no services as per James' wishes.
