James Stanley Randazzo, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on June 15, 2026.
Born on May 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Lapinski) Randazzo.
After graduating high school, James received his certificate as a certified nursing assistant. James went on to proudly serve his county in the United States Navy. After his honorable discharge from The Navy, he entered the United States Army Reserves. Even after joining the Reserves, James wanted to continue to serve his country and joined The National Guard in Kingston, PA. After his long, dedicated time in the military, he spent his days working as a CNA in the Alzheimer’s Unit, providing compassion and care to those in need. He was a devout member of the American Legion Post 609. In his free time, he loved to go fishing and spending quality time with friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bridget Lapinski; and Sicilian grandparents, Nancy and Vincent Randazzo.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 54 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Williams) Randazzo; children, Jennifer Elizabeth Randazzo and James “Jamie” Joseph Randazzo; sister, Jean Piccillo and husband Sebastian; sisters-in-law, Nancy Williams and Judy Nenno; brothers-in-law, Robert J. Williams and William A. Williams; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
A viewing will be held on June 19 from 5-7 at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a 6PM service with the American Legion Post 609 and Father Charlie from St. Clement & St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of James to The American Diabetes Association, The Alzheimer’s Association, or The National Heart Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
