Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie (Klug) George, 68, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday evening, February 14, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Jackie was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 13, 1949 to the late Robert and Mary Theresa (Williams) Klug. She was a graduate of E. L. Meyers High School and worked as a secretary for Luzerne County Domestic Relations. She loved to play Scrabble with her sister and mother. Jackie also enjoyed playing games on her tablet.

In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Donald E. George and a grandson, Matthew Ungarsky, who passed away in 1998.

Jackie is survived by a son, Donald George, Wilkes-Barre; two daughters, Andrea George, Plymouth; and Tiffany Noel George, Pittston; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchild and 1 great grandchild on the way, five brothers, Robert Jr., Richard, Gregory, Paul, and Phillip Klug, four sisters, Kathleen Langan, Theresa Gensel, Virginia Hughes, and Lorraine Kuchta, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, at 1:00pm at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Carol E. Coleman officiating.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:30am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
