Helen J. (Souchick) Rohon

Helen S. Rohon, 104, of Mountain Top, PA, passed away on March 15, 2024, at Allied Services Hospice in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born in Edwardsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Bertha Souchick.

A graduate of Edwardsville High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse.

Helen enlisted in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant after serving at numerous VA hospitals and the Pacific theater. She then worked as a private duty nurse after the war.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Casimer Rohon and five siblings.

She is survived by her daughter Janene and two nephews.

At her request there will be no viewing and a private funeral.

Her family expresses their gratitude to the staff at Allied Services Hospice for her diligent treatment and kind care provided there.
