Francis B. Franckiewicz, 71, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 31, 1945, a son of the late Frank William Franckiewicz and Ann T. (Krupa).
Francis was raised in the Wilkes-Barre area, while attending St. John’s Elementary and Coughlin High School. Before he discovered his last and permanent place of employment at Denny’s Restaurant, he worked for the Cigar Factory and Aldino’s in Wilkes-Barre. He took great pride in his work, with nearly perfect attendance during 20 years of employment at Denny’s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Franckiewicz, who passed away during infancy.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Thomas Krupa of Silver Spring, MD.
A memorial service will be held in Francis’ honor at a later date. A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming, PA.
