Frances Clark, 85, of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at ManorCare Health Services, Kingston. Born on December 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Andrew Zakarauskas. She was a 1946 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. After graduation, she was briefly employed by Tele-Radio. She was employed by Western Union, working for them in Atlantic City for several years. After returning to Wilkes-Barre, she was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Fran was a member of Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church, formerly Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she had served as both a deacon and greeter, and was on the Fellowship Committee.

Fran and her husband of 57 years delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. She was a former volunteer for the Reach to Recovery program of the American Cancer Society. She was a cancer survivor since 1993.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Clark, on July 19, 2007. She was the last of her immediate family, being preceded in death by brothers, Edward and Andrew; sisters, Matilda, Helen, Lucille and Ruth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday the 12th at 10:30 A.M. from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be the Reverend Harold Armstrong. Family and friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 A.M.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund of Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church, 2 Lockhart St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
