Ellen S. (Montigney) Helmbold

Ellen S. (Montigney) Helmbold, 85, of Tunkhannock, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains.
Born on May 30, 1929 in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Florena (Briggs) Montigney.
Ellen graduated from Larksville High School. She and her husband, Victor, worked together in the family business, the Helmbold Press, Plymouth and later worked in the antique business.
She was a former member of First Primitive Methodist Church, Plymouth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Boyd, Arthur and John Montigney.
Left to cherish Ellen’s memory are her loving husband of 66 years, Victor Helmbold; daughters, Florena Shovlin and husband, Michael, Wilkes-Barre, Ellen Susan Kosak and husband, Keith, Tunkhannock, Karen Weiss and husband, William, Millville and Audrey and companion, Anthony; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sister , Florena Sorokas, Larksville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Officiating will be Reverend Penny Dollar, Emmanuel Church of Christ, Dorrance with interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
