Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson (endearingly known as Liz) of Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at age 76, on February 8, 2023, in the company of her devoted family. She is survived by her children Lenora, Marion, John (Kimberly), Susan, and Marvin (Heather); grandchildren Amber, Ryan, Jamie, Aria, Jada, Avery, and Jia; and great-grandchildren Cameron, Rylan, and Greyson.  She is also survived by her sisters Ella Rene and Josephine (Harry).

Liz was born on April 11, 1946, in Liberty Hill, South Carolina. She lived in Florida as a young adult and moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania where she was beloved homemaker and community member.  Liz was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She was well-known for her excellent southern-style cooking.  She loved gardening, sewing, and playing board and card games with her family and friends.

Liz will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

The family invites you to join them Saturday, February 18, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM for a viewing at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 105 Hill Street, Wilkes-Barre, with services to follow at 10:00 AM at the church. Interment at the cemetery will be private for the family.

The funeral service will be livestreamed.
