Elizabeth “Betty” Lamoreaux, 89, of Edwardsville, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2024, at Maple Ridge Rehab and Healthcare Center.

Born on November 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Evan Yant and Victoria (Wallace) Thomas.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Lamoreaux; daughter, Lisa Bucher; brother Ronald Thomas; sister, Nancy Newell and many loved ones.

Not only was Betty a devout member at the Bethesda Congregational Church in Edwardsville, but she taught Sunday School and was a part of the church choir. In her free time, she loved spending time with friends and family.

Surviving to cherish her memory is granddaughter, Rilee Lamoreaux; son-in-law, Rob Bucher; sister, Victoria Davenport, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Bethesda Congregational Church on Sunday, December 22 from 2-5PM. A funeral service will be held at the church on Monday, December 23 at 10AM. Interment will be at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery immediately following the service.
