Elaine Muriel Myers

Elaine M. (Herring) Myers, 84, of Kingston, passed away on June 25, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Jean (Miller) Herring.

After graduating high school from E.L. Meyers High School, she spent the majority of her life working as a bookkeeper for Evans Ashphault. After leaving Evans, she worked as Gerrity’s until she retired. She was a Deacon at the Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church. In her free time, she loved spending quality time with her friends Bobby Segar, Margaret Puhalski, Brenda & many more. She also loved her 2 cats Samson & Samantha (Missy).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester Myers; and brother Skip Herring.

Surviving to cherish her memory is, god daughter, Brynn Kozak, husband David; and nephews, David Herring and Robert Myers.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
