Edward A. Stelmack, 77, of Hanover Twp., passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 1, 1946, he was a son of the late Edward and Helen (Urban) Stelmack.  He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre and AHEPA Local Chapter.

Edward was self employed as a Master Electrician and excelled at working with his hands and fixing things. He wired countless new homes in the area, and he took great pride in his work. He loved to garden, work in his yard, and collect rocks and artifacts while hiking. Edward also enjoyed cooking, spending time at the family donut shop speaking to regular customers, and spending time with his family and dog, Puggles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Roseanne Vaskorlis; father-in-law, George Calimeres, and his brother-in-law, Lester Rittenhouse.

Edward is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, the former Christine Calimeres; daughter, Marina Windt and husband, Jack; sons, Edward and Stephen Stelmack; mother-in-law, Marina Calimeres; sister-in-law, Ann Rittenhouse and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the ICU doctors, nurses, and staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for their care of Edward, especially Tom, for his words of support and encouragement.

Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 32 East Ross St, Wilkes-Barre, 18701.

The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Father Gabriel Nicholas and Father Stephen Kopestonsky.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Memorial donations may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 32 East Ross St, Wilkes-Barre, 18701.
