Douglas M. “Mike” Pokrinchak, 62, of S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, lost his battle of life, after a long, painful illness on August 30, 2014, at Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born on September 27, 1951, he resided all of his life in Wilkes-Barre. Along with being a good husband, father and friend, Mike was an excellent mechanic and truck driver by trade. Mike brought many smiles and laughs, through all the people that knew him. Now he can join the love of his life in Heaven, his wife, Kathleen (Derby) Pokrinchak, who preceded him in death in November 2006. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Surviving is his son, Michael A. Pokrinchak, Wilkes-Barre, two sisters, Sharon, Pittston Township and Nancy, Tampa, Fl.
Private burial services will be conducted at Maple Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre is in charge of arrangements.
