Dorothy L. Frey

Dorothy L. Frey, 63, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday morning, December 15, 2014, at her home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on September 28, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Edward Mazur and Blanche Mallery and the step-daughter of the late Stanley Chiplechowicz. She loved spending time with her friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard LeRoy Frey, who passed away in 1981; and infant son and a brother, Edward Mazur.

Surviving are her son, Jeffery Mazur, Wilkes-Barre; daughters Blanche Shotwell and husband, Ricky; Sharon Frey, Karen Frey and Elizabeth Frey, all of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Amanda Rinker, Rory Riggins, Tyler Rinker and Isaiah Frey; brothers Robert Mazur, Rick Mazur, Darryl Cook and Joseph Mazur; sisters Patricia Iberra and Dawn Cook.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff of Celtic Hospice for their amazing care.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
