Donna M. (Tigue) Valtos

Donna M. (Tigue) Valtos, 71, of Moosic, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Allied Services, Scranton.

Born in Taylor on June 6, 1951, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Van Luvender) Tigue.  She was educated at Riverside High School.

Donna was an LPN working in the skilled nursing unit of Moses Taylor Hospital, where she enjoyed working with the elderly patients.  She enjoyed vacationing with her husband in Las Vegas and her favorite vacation spot was Disney World, Orlando, Florida.

Donna enjoyed gardening and cooking and was always in the kitchen cooking for her family and trying new recipes.  She loved her dogs and enjoyed having fun with them and telling stories about what they were doing.   Shopping for clothes was her hobby, always with her husband by her side.  She could never pass up a good deal on purses.

Donna was a lovable woman and got along with everyone she met.  She made friends easily and was always laughing when she was with them.  She was a friend that you could always depend on for anything.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gerald Valtos; brothers-in-law John Valtos and his wife, Pat; and Ronald Valtos;  brother, John Tigue and his wife, Lisa Tucker;  cousin, Patty Micciche and her husband, Michael; as well as several other cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca.
