Donald McGill, Sr., 72, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on February 26, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 25, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Caroline (Coleman) McGill.  Donald graduated from Boys High and then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Donald worked for Steamfitters Local Union 638, Long Island, NY.

Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Christine C. (Gilbert) McGill, his daughter, Kyhesher Davis and her husband, Tahmarley, three sons, David McGill, Donald McGill, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Abdul McGill and his companion, Teri Mendygral, 5 grandchildren, sister, Jean Jenkins, and several nieces and nephews.

The family wanted to offer a special thank you to his daughter in law, Jennifer, who offer a tremendous amount of support and care.

Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 29th, at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Reverend Tanya Olaviany officiating.

Friends are invited to call from 10 AM till the time of the service.
