Obituary
HAZLETON-Donald J. "Hoss" Higgins, 66, of Hazleton, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at his home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on April 5, 1948, he was a son of the late Donald C. and Margaret E. "Margie" (Mappes) Higgins. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a member of the Jeddo Stars Athletic Association, where he served as an officer. He was a life member of the Liverpool American Legion and was an avid fisherman.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by Certain Teed, Mountain Top.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine A. (Matrishion) Higgins; children, Kimberly Rose and husband, Jason, Wyoming; William Higgins and wife, Laura, Pittston; Daniel Tolotti, Weston; Amanda Tolotti, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Joshua Kachurick and Jacinda Rose; brother William Higgins, Nuangola.
A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
