Donald William Garey

Donald William Garey, 48, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away suddenly on September 1, 2025, at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 10, 1977, he was the son of the late Michelle Marie Garey and Jerome McCloe.

Donald was a man of God and a devout member of New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church in Wilkes-Barre. He was a social man; many knew and loved him. In his free time, Donald loved to draw, journal, and spend time with his grandkids.

In addition to his mother, Donald is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Garey; aunts, Jean Wright, Hope Cropp and Lois Snyder; paternal grandmother, Beverly Golden, grandfather, Jerome Johnson; step grandfather, Leroy Golden; brother, Jerome McCloe and aunt, April Walker.

Surviving to cherish his memory is son, Donald Devante Chance Garey and fiancé Angelina Pellam; daughters, Heavyn Chan’nel Ruth Garey, Melanie Napolitano and partner, Mike Negron and Leandra Sickler and husband, Richard; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn Wegrzynowicz; 8 beautiful grandchildren; brothers, Derrick McCloe and husband Michael Dean, and Savion McCloe; sisters, Unique Jewel Vasquez and Ameika Burns, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held on September 9th at New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church, 780 S Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with the service to follow directly.
