Dominic J. Mack, Sr.,83, of Mountain Top and West Palm Beach, Fl. Passed away suddenly on January 4th.

Dominic was born March 5th, 1939, to the late James (Jimmy) Mack and Nellie (Sislo) Mack.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Molly (Gallagher) Mack, his infant son, David, his son Dominic,Jr., his sisters Marie Conte, Kay Hoitsma, Anne Charles, Joanne Sbar and Diane Mack.

Dominic was an instant friend to all who had the pleasure to meet him. He was the second generation owner of Mack Novelty Company and enjoyed a personal relationship with all his customers. He loved the ocean and meditating on the beach. He enjoyed his winters in Florida playing golf with old friends and new friends. He is said to have played his best game on January 4th. He loved having back yard parties, grilling, and cooking for friends and family. He loved making his mother’s sauce, Limoncello, Peppers and Wine with his sons and old friends. He also enjoyed a good game of cards, loved music, especially the Rat Pack.

Dominic served his country in the Coast Guard. He was a member of the Italian American Veterans of Luzern County. He was also a member of PAMMA.

Dominic loved and had a tremendous zest for life and people, and it showed in everything he did. His kindness and generosity knew no limits. He will be really missed by many, especially his loving family. Surviving are his two sons, James (Jimmy) and wife Michelle, and Michael all of Mountain Top. Grandchildren: Jessica, Alexandra Filak (Yuri), Dominic James, Dominic 3rd, Lauren, and James, Jr. all lovingly referred to as “The Mack Pack”. His Great Grandchildren: Giavanna and Grayson Cassano. Dominic is also survived by his sister Fran in Boston, Mass. And nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and forever friend, Bonnie Dimirco who resided with them for many years

The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 S. Main Street Wilkes Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial  at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas R. C. Church 226 S. Washington St. Wilkes Barre.  Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
