Debra Canty
June 6, 1956 — July 15, 2017
Deborah Canty, 61, of Nanticoke passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
She was born June 6, 1956 in Jamestown, South Carolina to Frieda (Callium) Canty, Jamaica, NY and the late, William Canty, Sr.
Deborah was a wonderful grandmother. She loved to write poetry, cook and play with her two grandchildren. She also sang in a band.
Deborah is preceded in death by her son Jason E. Canty and brothers William Canty, Jr. and Darryl Canty.
In addition to her mother, Deborah is survived by her daughter Sade Evans (Theodore, Sr.), grandchildren Aaliyah Evans and Theodore Evans, Jr., a brother Elsworth Callum and sisters Brenda Canty and Patricia Bastic.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
