Deborah Ann (Check) Suchar, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on October 2, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Evans) Check.

Deborah was a member of the former Christian Missionary Alliance, Wilkes-Barre. She enjoyed gardening and painting with watercolors. She especially loved spending time with her family and cooking and baking with her grandkids.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Suchar and wife, Nicole; grandchildren, Kathleen, Emily, Lauren, Brynn and Charlotte; sisters, Patricia Searfoss and husband, David, Linda Sly and husband, Gary, and Susan Hassel and husband, Robert and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at Kniffen O’ Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre with Reverend Carol Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Family and friends may visit Thursday from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home and Friday from 9:00 AM until the service.
