David R. Kopetchny, 70, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, May 30th, 2018, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 8, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley and Margret (Dyke) Kopetchny.

David graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science degree and was a member of the Alumni Association at LCCC, Nanticoke and the Chi-Gamma Iota Fraternity. He was a boy scout leader and belonged to the Lions Club and American Legion.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and being a volunteer fireman for Harvey’s Lake and West Pittston.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Deborah A. (Lozinski) Kopetchny; sons, James and Daniel Kopetchny; daughters, Kerry and Rayann Kopetchny, Michelle Sobiecki and 7 great grandchildren.
