David Nelson Blaine, 65, of Wilkes-Barre passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 7, 2024 from complications due to cancer.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, on July 14, 1958, he was the son of the Charlotte (Dzanko) Blaine, of Wilkes-Barre and the late Gerald Blaine.
David attended Meyers High School and Wilkes-Barre Area Vocational Technical School for Masonry. He was also a member of the US Army Special Weapons Team, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and the 4th Transportation Brigade, Oberursel, West Germany. He was retired from the City of Wilkes-Barre as a CDL driver in the Public Works Department.
His passion was music, and he was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. David was kindhearted and likable by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Elizabeth (Deliman) Blaine; daughter Jennifer Blaine, Germany; sister, Barbara Shemanski and her spouse Robert Hogan; nieces, Heather Marcelli and her husband Ron, Paige Hogan, nephew, Brent Shemanski, great niece, Tori, Great nephews, Tyler and Tanner.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. A service will be held at 7:00 PM.
