Daryle Wayne Whitt, 61, of Larksville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on March 5, 1956, he was a son of the late Jacob and Geraldine Whitt. Daryle worked as a State Game Land-91 Maintenance Worker, in Luzerne, Monroe, and Bucks County for the Pennsylvania State Game Commission. He was also a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a loyal fan of the Oakland Raiders, together with his brother Raymond, and nephew Damian. Daryle loved music, and had an incredible singing voice in comparison to Stevie Wonder, who was his favorite recording artist since he was a young adult. Daryle also mastered in sports/ physical fitness, was very mechanically inclined, and specialized in carpentry.

Other accomplishments included many certificates from Bucks County and Harrisburg Area Community College, and completed Certificates of Service from the PA State Game Commission.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Doris Jean, brothers, Ronald, William, and Stephen.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Kerry Bassett Whitt; grandchildren, Kianni, Jabrail and Braelynn; brothers, Jacob, Raymond, Charles, Gerald and Gary; sisters, Willa Dean, Jacqueline, Clarita, Rose, Katherine and Nadine,

numerous nieces and nephews.

Homegoing services will be held Tuesday, the 26th, at 11:00 A.M. from Mt. Zion Church, 105 Hill St., Wilkes-Barre. Officiating will be Pastor Brewster. Family and friends may visit from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the church.
