Obituary
Cheryl (Gipson) Owens, 60, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 21, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Chattanooga, TN, on September 26, 1956, she was a daughter of the late J.W. Gipson and Lena (Siler) Gipson-Blankenship.
Cheryl worked of over 20 years at the Sunoco Mini Mart, Wilkes-Barre and the last 7 years at Turkey Hill Mini Mart on Rutter Ave., Kingston.
She loved cooking and spending time w family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a niece, Lena Diana Gipson.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, William Owens, her loving son, John Barrett and Rochelle Mayo-Barrett, Columbus, OH, her step daughter, Shanna, Harrisburg, 7 grandchildren, Zoe, Destiny, Dynasty, Snacja, Raynar, Courtney & Raymond, two sisters, Judith Blankenship & Delores Gipson, Wilkes-Barre, Willie Blankenship, Hazleton, Host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews
