Cecelia Moses, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on January 19, 2026 at her home.
Born in Port Fortin, Trinidad, on January 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Freddy Simmons and Jessie Moses. She lived in a town call Cochrane Village Guapo where she had her children before migrating to the USA.
Cecelia spent the majority of her life in the USA working as a home health aide. In her free time, she loved going to the senior center, doing puzzles, and anyone who knew Cecelia knew she loved to curse people out. She had a passion for music and would always be dancing and singing. She enjoyed playing mass in the carnival season. Love drinking Puncheon shots. She also valued spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by son, Hugh; siblings, Estlyn, Victor, Malcom, and Merle. Also, grandson, Jabari.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving children, Sandra, Sean, Noami, Otis, Herman and Hulda.
Grandchildren: Antonio, Dwante, Aziz, Michelle, Melissa, Matthew, Andrew, Justin and Sean Jr.
Great grandchildren: Alijah, Aubriel, Jamari, and Austin
Siblings: Barbara, JK and Hurbert
Nieces: Janice and Kandy Ann and great niece Katteleya
Nephew: Dane and Kevon
Family of the Moses, Pierre, Nimrod, Primus and Smith
As well as her beloved friends, Bascelia, Carol, Pat, Phillis and John
A viewing will take place on January 31st at 10 am at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler, 465 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre.
