Carrie E. Batchler, 53, passed away Thursday, July 5th, 2018. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 25, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Laing T. Batchler, II and Jackie (Evans) White.

Carrie served in the United States Army. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid reader of many subjects and was especially good with plants and flowers. Carrie also liked to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and the Philadelphia Eagles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Laing T. Batchler, III and Tim Batchler.

Surviving are son, Justin Hodakowski; daughter, Morgan Hodakowski; grandchildren; Benjamin, Emily, Dylan and Ryan; sister, Jackie Roat-Yachera; stepfather, Jim White; stepmother, Virginia Batchler; stepsisters, Jodie Walsh, Jamie White, Gini Lea Quinn and Lori Ann Overfield; stepbrothers, Kenny and Larry Kunkle;  and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 25th, from 5-7P.M. at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Wilkes-Barre.
