Carla Ann (Carter) Senegal

Carla Ann Carter Senegal, 42 of Wilkes–Barre, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2014, surrounded by her family. She resided in Lake Charles, LA, for the past 20 years and recently returned home to Wilkes-Barre .

Born on August 16, 1972, she was the daughter of the late Betty Jean Carter and the late Abraham Lopez. Carla attended G.A.R. High School. She was formerly employed at Lau Berge Casino and Rest Haven Nursing Rehabilitation both located in Louisiana.

Carla was filled with a sweet southern charm and humorouss disposition. She had a deep affection for all that was very close to her. She loved her family, her dogs (Coco and Ice) and was a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving are her sisters, Mrs. Hattie Carter Caruso, husband Steven, Ethel (Lynn) Farmer, Abby Lopez, Angela Lopez. All from Wilkes-Barre, sister Amanda Lopez-Smith, Hunlock Creek, Yvonne and Gladys Lopez of Bronx, N.Y. brother Richard Hufften, Plymouth. Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Carter of Wilkes-Barre, nieces Nashae Caruso, Taja Carter of Wilkes- Barre, Shetaya Powell Benjamin of LA. nephew Antar Powell of Wilkes-Barre, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
