Brian Leroy Barnes

Brian Leroy Barnes, 56 of Plymouth, passed away, Friday, May 30, 2014.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on January 6, 1958, he was a son of the late John and Vernell (Jackson) Barnes.  He was a graduate of G.A.R. High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from college Misericordia.

He was employed as a counselor by Community Counseling Services for 25 years.  He loved to draw.

Surviving are his sons, Christian Barnes, Plymouth; Dakota Barnes, Larksville; brother,

John Barnes, Jr., Mountain Top; one niece.

A memorial service will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 48 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Reverend Shawn Walker officiating. Friends may call from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
