Babara Joan Evans

Barbara Joan Evans, 70, of Shavertown, formerly of White Haven, passed away Monday evening in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 14, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Jonathan Evans and Carrie (Gender) Grego.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Paul Evans.
Surviving are her sister, Jacqueline “Jackie’ White and her husband, James of Wapwallopen.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Father John Major will officiate. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
