Audrey A. (Kline) Ricker, 92, of Kingston, formerly of Lee Park, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at
Kingston Health Care Center.
Born in Hanover Township, on May 18, 1923, she was a daughter of the late George, Sr. and Alice (Sorber) Kline.
Audrey graduated from Harter High School, Plymouth Township and always appreciated the arts. She loved to paint and draw. After World War II, she spent time in Japan teaching Sunday school and married the love of her life, Robert W. Ricker, and raise a family.
She was a member of Bennett Presbyterian Church, Luzerne.
Audrey won the National Senior Spelling Bee in 2001 and was very proud of this accomplishment. She was also very proud of her family, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Audrey was preceded in death by; her loving husband, Robert W. Ricker, who passed on June 22, 1997, a grandson, Jeffrey Allan Price, two sister, Alice Freise & Grace Ravert, 2 brothers, George and Charles Kline.
A Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, where she will be buried with her husband.
