Annie R. (Thomas) Bryant, 82, of Ashley, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre. Born on May 4, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Ingram) Thomas. Annie was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was baptized into the church on September 9th, 2007.  She was also active with the church's food pantry and Bible study. Annie also served as usher for 17 years and became the head usher at the church. She was recognized for her efforts with the “Helping Hands for Haiti” and received several certificates of appreciation from Mount Zion Baptist Church and Woodbridge Development Center.

Annie attended the Edison school system and later graduated from Rutgers University in February 2001. She retired from the Woodbridge Development Center, Avenel, NJ, in June of 2002. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Lloyd Bryant, sons; Lloyd Gregory (Pie), and Todd Michael (Wazzan), a grandchild, Jakya, a brother, Deacon William Thomas, Bishop Carwell Thomas, Raymond Thomas, William Thomas, Jr., Horace Thomas, Elder Robert Thomas,  sisters, Missionary Rebecca Bass and Darlene Thomas Annie is survived by her sons; William Bryant, Glenn "Potsy" Thomas, Keith "Raheem" (Tammy) Bryant, Kevin "Hadi" (Leslie) Bryant, Herbert "Fuquan" (Lisette) Bryant, and Dywane "Malik'' Bryant, daughters; Vanessa "Van" Bryant, Lorinda "Lori" Bryant, Jacinta Bowden and loving son-in law (Kevin), Grandchildren; Gregory, Vanessa, Vernell,  Lori, Latif, Tosha, Susan, Shaniqua, Shonda, William Jr., Malcolm, Vanessa, Nate,  Bernard, Gylinda ,Shaniquah, Glenn, Baahir, Raheem, Tyneequa, Arianna, Shakeerah, Hadiyyah, Brianah, Halim, Fuquan, Shaquannah, Jahmel, Tenisha, Tosha, Zion, Shakir, Amina, Jamil, Mecca, Dajah, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Missionary Huldah Rohan, Diane Sorrell, Nancy Thomas, brother; Jerry Thomas, and Dennis Thomas, sister in law, Etta Thomas. A very special "son" Jeffrey Dance, special daughter's Bernice (Needy) Nelson, Wahidda (Pebbles) Crawford and Katherine Alexander,  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street Wilkes-Barre, Pa, with Prophetess Tiffany L. Jones officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
