Alexander C. Sonny, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on July 29, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in the beautiful island of St. Lucia, on March 24, 1944, he was a son of the late Annius Isidore and Marie H. (Weekes) Sonny.

Alexander worked in Long Island before moving to Wilkes-Barre. He loved going back to St. Lucia to visit family and friends. In addition, he loved to listen and dance Country n Western Music.

He is survived by his wife, Germaine A. Sonny, a son, Jason Adrian Sonny, St. Lucia, daughter, Sabina Cheryl Ford, St. Lucia, a granddaughter, Sage D. Sonny, five sisters, Octavia Sonson, Veronica Sonny, Augustina Sonny, Mary Sonny and Henrietta Longville, several nieces and nephews, too many to name.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; a sister, Anne Sonny and brother, Peter Weekes.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 14, at 2P.M.at the Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Friends may pay their respects from 1:00PM till the time of the service.
