Aldo L. Pedana, Jr.

Aldo L. Pedana, Jr., 75, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on November 2, 1939, he was a son of the late Aldo L. and Emily (Nareski) Pedana, Sr.  He was a member of St. Benedict Parish, Wilkes-Barre.

He proudly served in the United States Army for 6 years. He was employed by Penn Dot for 24 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, the former Mary “Theresa” Schneider; daughters Krystle Schneider, at home and Tina Rushton, Kingston; sons Aldo L. Pedana, III and his wife, Patricia, Kingston; Anthony Pedana, Plains and Keith Pedana, Pittston; grandchildren Alicia, who was Poppy’s favorite; 6 other grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Benedict Parish, 154 Austin Ave., Wilkes-Barre with the Reverend Joseph A. Kearney officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Anyone attending the mass is asked to go directly to the church.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
