Mildred A. Kilgallon

Mildred Alberta (Vivian) Kilgallon, died peacefully at Wesley Village on Sunday December 10th, 2017 in Pittston, Pa at the age of 101.

Mildred is survived by her children, Linda Burke and James Kilgallon; grandchildren, Robert Burke and his wife Jacqueline, Michael Burke and his wife Amanda, James Kilgallon and his wife Traci, and Christopher Kilgallon; great grandchildren, Sean and Liam Burke, Emma and Isabel Kilgallon. Mildred was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Vivian, husband, Leo Kilgallon, her daughter Vivian Lee and her 4 sisters; Bess, Gertie, Bertha, and Edith.

Mildred was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa on December 8th, 1916. A graduate of Elmer L. Meyers High School, she worked as the Manager of the Hat Department at Isaac Long’s Department Store, and later in the Credit Department of Lazarus Department Store. “Millie” loved to spend time at Lake Silkworth with her sisters and loved going to the shore every year with her family.

Mildred’s last few years were spent at Wesley Village where she received exceptional care from the staff.

Friends may call 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, December 13th and 10 to 11 AM Thursday, December 14th, at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 465 South Main St., Wilkes-Barre.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 AM Thursday, December 14th. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mildred's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Red Cross. PO Box 37839. Boone, IA 50037
