June Verry-Bolinski Obituary

June A.(Powell) Verry-Bolinski, 74 of Hanover Township, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Joseph T. Powell, Sr. and Cecelia Gibney.

She was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School Class of 1962 and a 1983 graduate of Wilkes-Barre Area Vocational Technical School where she earned her diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  June's passion for nursing was prevalent throughout her career.  She loved caring for her patients and shared a special bond with them. She would make sure their days were filled with happiness, compassion and dignity.  She most recently worked as an LPN at Birchwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Nanticoke before her retirement in 2009.

June enjoyed working in her gardens and relaxing on the deck with her husband.  She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, watching her "stories" and going gallivanting with her girls. She looked forward to Sunday dinners and family gatherings. Christmas Eve was a very special time for her. She loved playing Santa and singing carols around the tree.  Mostly she loved spending as much time as she could with her family and her furry companions, Snuffy, Princess, Mikey and Topi.

She was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. Her heart was full of love, support and devotion to her family.  She was our cheerleader, confidant and best friend. Despite all the obstacles she faced throughout her life she always faced them head on with courage and strength.  She was an optimist with an infectious smile and laugh that always brightened the day of those around her.

June was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her son, William Christopher Bolinski, brothers, John Covell and Joseph Powell, Jr., sisters Eileen Tipton and Margaret Pruce and cousin Anita Pascucci.

June is survived by her husband and soulmate of 48 years, William C. Bolinski, Hanover Township, daughter, Jennifer Verry and partner Jason Callahan and granddaughter Alycia Thomas, Dallas; step-daughters, Christine Woodbridge and spouse Kevin, Virgina,Tracey LeClair, Taylor, and Holly Terapane and spouse Steve, Virginia, grandchildren Tiarra, Arielle, Amanda, John and Caeley and many nieces and nephews.

A devoted wife, mother and grammy, loving aunt and dear friend, June will be deeply missed but her beautiful spirit and bright smile will live in our hearts forever.
