Ethel M. Harris, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Grantville, North Carolina, on June 19, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Llyod and Bessie (Hunt) Harris. Ethel worked at Nardone Brother’s Pizza and retired after seventeen years. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by a daughter, Felicia A. Harris-Armijo, who died August 8, 2015; a brother, Lynwood Harris, and a sister Josephine.
She is survived by her three sons, Donald Harris, Joseph Harris, and William Harris, all of Wilkes-Barre; nine grandchildren, including a grandson, Carlton, who she helped raise; twenty-three great grandchildren; four brothers, James Harris, Thomas Harris, Robert Harris, and Lloyd Harris, two sisters, Dorothy Farrow and Queen Harris, and several nieces and nephews.
A Home Going service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 31, at 11:00am at Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Wilkes-Barre, with the Reverend Anthony Vieney officiating.
Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00am until the time of the service.
Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
